PROCRASTINATION
Smart people can be stupid. I like to thing of myself as a fairly smart person and yet I was being stupid. My stupidity could have cost me my life and much unhappiness to my family. I suspected the problem two years ago and didn’t follow up with my doctor. Why? I was in denial and I was tired of seeing doctors. Yet, it was more than that.
TOO EMBARRASING TO TALK ABOUT
I thought I was past that after years of having colonoscopies to check on the possabilites of having colon cancer. Pre-cancerous polyps appeared over the years and they were easily removed, avoiding cancer. It was a subject openly discussed with friends and relatives who were undergoing the same procedures. No embarrassment there.

Now cancer of the rectum is a different matter although colorectal cancer is the second biggest cancer killer. Talk about a hidden situation that is subject to jokes and embarrassment for both men and women.
THE PROBLEMS YOU MAY BE FACING

Don’t let that stop you if you have any suspicion at all that you might have a problem. It affects both sexes of all ages and is no respecter of religious or political persuasions.
